Lee Ann Haley is a U.S. Army Combat Veteran from Keyser, WV. She earned a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from West Virginia University, and a Master's in Public Administration from Webster University in St. Louis, MO. Lee Ann held numerous leadership positions worldwide as an Army Aviation Officer piloting the UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter. She was a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Divisions Combat Aviation Brigade where she deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. She also supported rescue efforts after Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, LA. Lee Anns highest military awards and decorations include the Air Medal and the Combat Action Badge. Lee Ann has continued her federal service with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), as a Congressional Liaison on Capitol Hill, a Branch Chief at the Board of Veterans Appeals (BVA) in Washington, DC, and, with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) in Clarksburg, West Virginia. She is currently the Chief of Staff for the Laboratory Operations Center (LOC) at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), in Morgantown, WV.Some of Lee Anns public accolades include being honored as one of West Virginia's "Wonder Women" in the September/October 2015 issue of West Virginia Focus Magazine; speaking at the West Virginia University Distinguished Alumni Career Reception and the WVU Presidential Inauguration Ceremony; and as the honored speaker in Washington, DC, as a representative of the 82nd Airborne Division for Veteran's Day during the "Women of the Airborne" wreath laying ceremony. Her speech is permanently quoted on display at the national Women in Military Service for America Memorial.Lee Ann resides in Morgantown, WV, with her husband, former Army Captain Jeremy Haley, and her daughters, Lyla (8) and Lydia (3). She is an active supporter of initiatives for Veterans in West Virginia. She also enjoys running and spending time outdoors with her family, especially kayaking on the Greenbrier River in southern West Virginia.
