On Friday, May 20, 2016 LWV from Alumni around the state spent the day serving their communities. This day, dubbed, ServeWV Day, was designed for local organizations and volunteers in the LWV Chapter areas to give back to our Great State of West Virginia by matching community projects with volunteers.

LWV alumni members and DOW employees help with landscaping at Rae of Hope Inc. in Charleston.
Nine projects were registered on the Serve WV website: www.servewv.com with over 55 volunteers participating in different regions of the state.
Projects included partnerships with the following organizations:
Miletree Center |
Roane County Helping Hand |
Hospice of the Panhandle |
Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County |
Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council |
Rea of Hope, Inc. |
Kanawha Charleston Humane Association |
The Arc of West Virginia |
Elkins Main Street |
We commend all of the volunteer efforts of LWV alumni who were involved in this day of giving!
